BBQHQ is published by HEKNO LTD. If something here is wrong, unclear, or unreachable, these are the routes to say so — corrections first, because those are the ones that change the site.
Corrections and factual questions
If something here is wrong — a temperature, a time, a cut name, a safety figure, an attribution — this is the message we most want to receive. Corrections are made in the open: where a published claim changes materially, the record says what it used to say and what changed it.
Please include the page address, what it currently says, and what you believe it should say. A source we can read is the fastest route to a change.
Evidence and sourcing
Questions about where a figure came from, why two authorities are shown disagreeing rather than averaged, or why a page declines to give a number at all. If you publish guidance we ought to be citing and are not, tell us.
The evidence policy explains how sources are classified and what each one may be cited for.
Accessibility
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible to use — with a screen reader, by keyboard, at high zoom, or for any other reason — we want to know which page and what happened. Accessibility defects are treated as ordinary defects, not as requests.
The accessibility statement records the standard we hold this site to and what is known to fall short of it.
Privacy and data protection
Questions about what this site collects, requests to exercise your rights over personal data, and anything else for the data-protection mailbox.
The privacy notice describes what BBQHQ measures and what it deliberately does not — your search terms among them.
Permissions, licensing and rights
Requests to reproduce material from this site, and rights notices about material published here.
A rights notice should identify who you are and on what authority, the work or right concerned, where it appears here, and what you are asking for.
What to include
Whatever the reason, the same few things make a message actionable: the page address, the date you read it, what it says now, what you think it should say, and anything we can read that supports the change. Reports that identify a specific figure on a specific page get dealt with quickest.
Where a correction changes a published claim materially, the change is recorded rather than quietly applied — see how we know things.
What this is not
BBQHQ publishes general information about cooking over fire. It cannot give advice on an individual case, confirm whether a particular piece of food is safe to eat, or substitute for the food-safety authority in your own territory. If you think you have a case of food-borne illness, contact a medical professional rather than this mailbox.
