Weber's poultry chart, organised by cut, thickness/weight and grilling skill. Weber's own materials are not perfectly consistent with each other on whole-chicken timing — one page gives about 1h15 and another about 1½ hours — which is a genuine intra-publisher spread rather than a contradiction, and is preserved as such.
What it may be cited for
Equipment specification, Culinary practice
- Explicitly not safety: As above: manufacturer guidance is not a food-safety authority.
What we recorded from it
Weber material elsewhere gives about one and a half hours for a whole chicken to reach 165 °F.
- Cooker:
- Indirect on a kettle.
- Weight:
- Weight not stated.
- Differs from the same publisher's 1h15 figure. Preserved as a spread within one publisher rather than resolved.
Claims resting on it
- A whole chicken of roughly 1.4–2.0 kg cooked indirect over charcoal at 175–200 °C takes in the region of 60–90 minutes. Clemson Cooperative Extension gives 60–75 minutes for a 3–4 lb bird and Weber gives 1 to 1½ hours for a 3½–4½ lb bird; the windows overlap and the two publishers are independent of each other.
If this source changes, these are the claims that need rechecking. That is the point of recording provenance per claim rather than per page.
