How the sources were combined
Two independent publishers time a lamb burger and neither was reachable before, because the food had no profile. AHDB gives 4-6 minutes a side at 1-2 cm; Clemson gives 5-8 minutes total at a stated 2 inches and specifies 160 °F. THE TWO DO NOT SIT COMFORTABLY TOGETHER — Clemson's patty is more than twice as thick and cooks in less time, which is not credible as physics and is most likely a difference in what the two documents mean by thickness. BBQHQ publishes the union, 5-12 minutes, and says so rather than choosing the more plausible source. The endpoint is what makes that acceptable: this is minced meat, both publishers call for cooked through, and Clemson's 71 °C is the figure that governs. Cook it to temperature and either timing is survivable.
